Women making a difference

Director of Positive Empowerment Group Gayl Regina is one of three women running the program.

A new organization focused on helping empower people to live happier and healthier lives will be coming to the Southern Downs.
The Positive Empowerment Group features three women who give talks as part of their program to help improve self-confidence, self-esteem and make people stronger, clearer and in turn make more empowered decisions.
Director of Positive Empowerment Group Gayl Regina said perception was important.
“What we think and feel about ourselves and how we see ourselves in the world is a fundamental key that determines our ability to live a happy, productive life,” she said.
Gayl is one of three professional personal empowerment facilitators who are running a workshop series titled Rebuilding Self Image for women in the community.
This program brings together three diverse and talented women – Monica Kennedy, a qualified holistic counsellor and Colour-n-Art therapist with a background in nursing, Marnee Kent, an art therapist and story teller with indigenous heritage, and Gayl Regina, a professional program developer personal success coach and NLP practitioner.
Health practitioners and personal support workers are welcome to participate and attend a free information session.
Anyone who is interested is invited to attend a free two-hour introductory information session to be held at The Meeting Place, 73 Canning Street, Warwick, on Saturday 5 December from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
