STANTHORPE – prepare to rock!
THE third annual Stanthorpe Rocks is now just a few days away.
The two-day event will be held once again at Ballandean Estate this weekend, 14 and 15 November.
“We’ve got Whisky Gully, Jon English and Peter Cupples, Eurogliders, Taxiride, Ross Wilson, Daryl Braithwaite and Jon Stevens all booked in to hit the main stage on 14 November,” said event CEO Ian Wade-Parker.
He said that as if the stellar list of acts wasn’t value enough, the successful Rocks format has been ramped up to a whole new level this year to make it a two-day event and a weekend ticket is only $10 more than a one-day ticket!
“Day two of the event is Rock n Recovery which is all about showcasing the best of Granite Belt region with local acts on the main stage and in the beer garden!
“Plus, we’ll have some great market stalls and food vendors to showcase some of the fantastic Granite Belt offerings!
“We have a great new venue, still at Ballendean Estate winery but have just moved to a new area right across the road.
“The big benefit of the new site is that it has much more space and we can build the perfect infrastructure to meet our needs and provide an even better festival experience.
“One of these new additions is the Super Tent which offers over 3200 square metres of cover to keep everyone comfortable regardless of hot sun, rain or out-of-season snow!
“Included inside is a purpose-built stage and all the important aspects of the day including a dance zone, seating and corporate areas.
“Plus, we’ve added big screens, market stalls, a beer garden and onsite camping!
“If that’s not enough excitement, we’ve even got chopper rides to get an aerial view over the beautiful Granite Belt.”
Stanthorpe Rocks is a boutique style festival which is aimed at the discerning festival goer who wants to have a great weekend out with fantastic music and food as well as a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
The event also provides a fantastic return to the community so it is a win for everyone!
