THE monthly Warwick Uber Markets were on again over the weekend.
Market co-ordinator Christie Russell said it was another successful event, with a television commercial currently in the works and plans already in place for Christmas.
“We are putting a TV commercial on for the markets, it is going to be on Channel 10. We are going to be highlighting the activities we have on offer and some of the stalls on offer at our markets,” she said.
“The commercial is to really get the word out in Warwick about the Warwick Uber Markets and what we have to offer the community.
“I am planning a huge pass the parcel for the December market to celebrate Christmas.
“We are also looking at having water fights in the park during the next few months to cool off in the hot weather.”
Christie also said that they would be putting on a raffle for a cause in the coming months.
“We have also just started a raffle with all proceeds going to a local mum who has recently been going through some hard times, her son was diagnosed with cancer – he had brain surgery and has lost a lot of function. The raffle is for three party packages (face painting, balloon animals and party game) which are donated by myself through my business Christie’s Crafts,” she said.
Tickets are expected to be available at the next markets.
The next Uber Markets will be on Saturday 14 November, from 10am-2.30pm.
