Warwick murder trial begins

The trial over Gail Lynch's alleged murder continues in Toowoomba.

IAN Phillip Hannaford will face the Toowoomba Supreme Court, charged with the murder of missing Warwick grandmother Gail Lynch.
Mr Hannaford, 61, was arrested in July 2012, three weeks after Ms Lynch’s disappearance, and has remained in custody ever since.
Mr Hannaford was the former boyfriend of Ms Lynch, 55, and has pleaded not guilty to her murder.
There are expected to be more than 50 witnesses called to the stand over the course of the trial, which is expected to take several weeks.
Justice John Bond will oversee the case.
