AN accident on a property near Stanthorpe on Monday 5 October has claimed the life of a 13-year-old girl.
Emergency services were called to the property, about 12,45pm, on Dalcouth Street, Kyoomba when a forklift the girl was driving veered off a dirt track, throwing her out and landing on top of her. It has been reported that witnesses tried desperately to save the girl by performing CPR at the scene but were unable to resuscitate her.
Paramedics arrived at the scene but declared the girl deceased soon after arriving. Her next of kin were notified and investigations will continue into the incident.
