THE Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery officially opened their new exhibition on Friday 25 September.
The Borderline Regional Arts Association has presented their biannual exhibition entitled ‘Resonance.’
The exhibition consists of 32 local artists exploring the themes of reflection and reverberation through a variety of media. There is a selection of sculpture, painting, pastel, etching and glasswork pieces in what should provide something for everyone.
Gallery manager Nicola Holly said she had high hopes for the exhibition with good signs at the opening.
“It was a great night with over 110 people in attendance,” she said.
“They’re a group of local artists who stem from Glen Innes to Warwick.
“People in this area always support local artists, it’s great to see. We’ve had high visitor numbers and excellent feedback since it opened last Thursday so I’m hoping it’ll prove to be of our most successful exhibitions this year.”
Nicola said art lovers would not be disappointed with a particularly high quality of work on display.
“The artists have really stepped it up this year. The quality of work this year is a lot higher, they’ve really challenged themselves,” Nicola said.
“Each stands confident in their convictions while harmonising with each other in the belief that every voice matters – each enriches the conversation of community.”
The exhibition will run to 25 October.
