Ballandean Estate Wines has reaffirmed its reputation as the premier winery on the Granite Belt, collecting a multitude of awards at the 32nd Annual Queensland Wine Awards 2015.
The esteemed winery collected Winery of the Year, Winemaker of the Year for Dylan Rhymer, Viticulturist of the Year for Angelo Puglisi, Cellar Door of the Year and the Samuel Bassett Award 2015.
It also took home the Champion Alternative Variety White Wine for the 2015 Messing About Fiano.
Mary Puglisi took down the prestigious Samuel Bassett Award.
The award is given to a person who has positively and substantially contributed to the advancement of the industry over a significant period of time.
Mary and husband Angelo have continued their family tradition with the Puglisi family producing wines at the estate since 1930.
They were extremely pleased given that the winery has suffered through two years of damage from hailstorms and frost.
“These awards are the result of hard work and the determination to never give up,” Angelo said.
“The wines speak for themselves and we are proud to share them with our loyal customers.”
