A FIERCE fire that started near Thornton Road sometime after 10am this morning in Warwick has been brought under control.
Early reports suggest the fire was started when a man tried burning off a couple of diseased beehives and it got out of control.
Urban and rural firefighters were called to the scene and battled the fire for over an hour. There were concerns that the fire may reach houses south of Warwick but it was extinguished in time.
