Southern Cross Bowls
Last Thursday the ladies held their P & M/Gala day which was sponsored by the Oak Tree Retirement village. Mary O’Neill representing Oak Tree was on hand to present the trophies to the winners and runners-up. The Southern Cross team of L. Heywood, D. Scotney, B. Donovan and L. Butler were the winners on 31 points and the runners-up was the Warwick Ladies team of P. Seipelt, R. Valentine, D. McLennan and S. Valentine on 29 points. Today Thursday 27 August will be social bowls starting at 1pm.
As we have ten if our men playing pennants this coming weekend there will be no social bowls at the Cross. Best of luck to our players.

Ladies Section: Monthly general meeting – 11 September at 9.30am. Members will be catering for the Men’s Open Carnival on 13 September.
