TENTERFIELD’S Bruxner Park upgrade has been scheduled to finish on 5 August.
With the stage structure now installed, this week will see the completion of the concrete paths, ramp access and pavement.
The final touches will be laid on 3 August, with the finalisation of in-ground reticulation and laying of turf.
“Council is aware of community concern regarding the steps at the entrance to the park,” said Mayor Peter Petty.
“However, community member should be aware that in addition to the steps, there will be a ramp which conforms to the access guidelines, providing safe access for all.”
“Council’s Director of Engineering Services has assessed the steps (which have also been designed as the seating area) and has confirmed that they will be safe for all to use as there will be handrails through the centre and on both sides.”
The park and public opens are scheduled to re-open on Wednesday 5 August, with restricted access to turf areas.
