Disorderly conduct

POLICE were kept busy over the weekend with a number of offences and drunken disturbances taking place at various locations.
A vehicle parked at an address in High Street had a window smashed on Friday night and items removed from the glovebox.
A disturbance at the Central Hotel led to the arrest of a 24-year-old male for disorderly conduct on licensed premises.
Police endeavoured to arrest the second offender who left the scene and could not be located.
The second offender is known to police and is expected to be charged later this week.
Drug arrests
SEVERAL drug offenders have been located and charged in the Stanthorpe area over the past week.
A 33-year-old man received drug diversion after he was located driving a vehicle at Thulimbah on Thursday afternoon.
A small quantity of cannabis and a smoking implement were seized.
A 30-year-old man will face court after being intercepted driving a vehicle at Severnlea on Friday night.
Police located a quantity of powder which was believed to be heroin as well as a used syringe containing liquid.
Foot patrols in Weeroona Park on Sunday afternoon led to a 27-year-old female tourist being detained and later being drug diverted after police found a quantity of cannabis in her possession.
Copper stolen
On the night of 23 March, offenders cut a wire fence at the Stanthorpe Ergon depot in Maryland Street and stole a quantity of scrap copper.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact them.
