100 reasons to celebrate

Recognise anyone? Thulimbah Senior School circa 1963.

IN LESS than two months, Thulimbah State School is set to celebrate its centenary.
Taking place on the October long weekend (4, 5 and 6), celebrations kick off on Saturday evening with a gala centenary dinner at the International Club, followed by a day of activities and catching up with old friends from 10am on Sunday.
Class reunions for the small Granite Belt school are also available on Monday for anyone wishing to organise a breakfast or the like, before those from afar travel home.
The committee has been busy gathering photos to include in its ‘100 years of photos’ on DVD, which will be available for purchase as well as a DVD of film footage which is being collated.
If you have any film footage and are happy to lend it, the committee would be greatly appreciative.
One hundred years of memorabilia will be on display at the school for the celebrations on the Sunday and will trigger memories for everyone.
If you have not received an email or a letter invitation from the school, please contact the office on 07 4685 2270 on a Monday or Tuesday with your address details.
