ALMOST 100 people turned out on Saturday night for the Battle of the Coral Sea dinner at Stanthorpe.
Special guest for the evening was Royal Australian Navy Chief Vice Admiral Raymond James.
The event, held at the Stanthorpe Civic Centre, was hosted by the Stanthorpe and District Navy Sub Section.
This year marks the 72nd anniversary of the Battle of the Coral Sea during World War II – a battle that many believe saved Australia.
