The Wandering Warriors and their military vehicle convoy roll down Palmerin Street on Monday.

THE Wandering Warriors filed into town on Monday afternoon with a colourful grand parade down Palmerin Street signalling their arrival.
The group, comprising about 34 members of the Australian Special Air Service (SAS) Association, made a pit stop in town as part of their mammoth trek from Brisbane to Canberra to raise funds for Defence Force carers charities.
With a number of camouflaged military vehicles in tow, the weary walkers trudged the final leg of the day to Scots College where a fund-raising barbecue dinner and presentation awaited.
John Felton, who helped spread the word of the group’s visit, said the Warwick community’s generosity didn’t disappoint.
“We raised more than $4,000, which outgunned Ipswich,” he said.
The wanderers are expected to reach Canberra on 16 October.
