And they're off!

THE next Father’s Day harness racing event at Allman Park will be beamed across Australia and offer $10,000 in prize-money, organisers have excitedly revealed.
Darling Downs Harness Racing Club president Anthony Collins said the success of last Sunday’s event caught the eye of Racing Queensland manager David Aldred who gave Mr Collins a gentleman’s agreement that the next event would be a country cup with TAB and Sky Channel coverage.
“Racing was really good, the track couldn’t have been any better,” Mr Collins said.
“Racing Queensland is on a really strong push to get harness racing back into the country and to conduct meetings on grass tracks as there is not a lot of infrastructure in Queensland.”
More than 600 racegoers from near and far filed through the gates and raised over $2500 for the “Jackie’s Bunch” Relay for Life team while enjoying a day out at the trots.
Mr Collins said he was “stoked” with the day and tipped his hat to the Warwick Turf Club caretakers who prepared the grass surface for the event.
